Santa Cruz is trying a new sport with a silly name on for size. The Louden Nelson Community Center is hosting a demonstration of pickleball on Friday, July 27, from 10am to 2pm.
Disc Golf Fest Comes to City Park
Anyone who wants to learn the mechanics of throwing a golf disc or maybe even meet a professional who does just that for a living might find Saturday to be their lucky day. The city has built a 9-hole disc golf course on the former site of the Occupy village in San Lorenzo Park and is throwing a party to introduce the sport.
