CHADD Cruzers (Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorder) has a homepage with speakers and topics listed. This organization is a nonprofit, parent-based organization formed to better the lives of individuals with Attention Deficit Disorder and those who care for them. Through family support and advocacy, public and professional education and encouraging scientific research, CHADD works to ensure that those with Attention Deficit Disorder are given the opportunity to reach their inherent potential. The Cultural Council of Santa Cruz County has the answers. A variety of programs and services ensures that the arts are accessible and enjoyable to both residents and out-of-county visitors alike. The Cultural Council is a nonprofit organization that initiates, encourages and supports cultural and educational activities in Santa Cruz County and it also has a very informative Web page. Threw Out a Disc The DeLaveaga Disc Golf Course is fast gaining recognition for being one of disc golf's premier courses. Located in the hills overlooking the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, the course enjoys spectacular views, and the area's temperate climate yields good playing conditions year-round. De Laveaga is part of a 1200-acre park situated within the Santa Cruz city limits. The park's name comes from the family that willed the land to the city to be used as a multiple-use recreation zone. The park's current facilities include a picnicking area, lighted softball fields, an 18-hole golf course, miles of hiking, biking and equestrian trails, an archery and shooting range and, of course, the disc golf course.
