Public Libraries Look under "Libraries-Public" in the Yellow Pages for your nearest branch. Call or visit to find out what rules apply and which programs are available.
Santa Cruz County Law Library Free for legal documents. The librarians can't offer legal assistance, but they can point visitors to resources such as DissoMaster, the program courts use to calculate financial support in divorces, and an electric typewriter for filling out applications. No reservations necessary. Open Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. 701 Ocean St. #070, Santa Cruz; 457.2525.
CareerWorks Free for job-hunting documents. This service of the Human Resources Agency of Santa Cruz County provides computers for such documents as résumés and job applications at three locations: 1040 Emeline Ave., Santa Cruz, 454.4080; 2045 40th Ave., Capitola, 464.6286; 18 West Beach St., Watsonville, 763.8700.
Santa Cruz Teen Center The computer lab is free for teens 12-18 years old. Open Monday-Thursday, 2-9pm; Friday-Saturday, 2-11pm; closed Sundays. 125 Laurel St., Santa Cruz (next to Kinko's); 420.6235.
