The event, organized by Move On and other groups, plans to highlight the need for a public option by focusing on the people who have suffered under the current healthcare system. It is planned as a final effort to influence local lawmakers to support the proposed reforms. Congressman Sam Farr, a proponent of healthcare reform, has already faced a number of turbulent town hall meetings in the county, with another townhall planned for Watsonville City Hall on Thursday evening.
