Drivers parked on Bay, Lennox, and Palm streets were in for a surprise when they returned to their cars this weekend. Many of them found their windshields smashed. Police arrested a 21-year-old UCSC student, David Glenn Shadrake, and charged him with 14 counts of felony vandalism. According to the police, he apparently smashed the windows with his skateboard, though no motive has been given for the crime. The estimated cost of the damage is $7,000. Read more at KSCO.
