It’s been raining for eight straight days, and many of the dried up riverbeds across the county have suddenly come to life again. Loch Lomond is filling up, and the county has had more rain than average for this time of year. But it’s not enough, water officials warn, after three years of drought. “We still have a good ways to go yet,” says Toby Goddard of Santa Cruz City’s Water Department. A report on water conditions across the county will be presented to the Water Commissioner on February 1.
