Christopher D. Garcia, 19, may be a computer science major by day, but as soon as class is over he takes out his balls, hoops and knives and becomes Draco the Juggler. He is just one of many students in the UCSC Juggling Club. This Friday they will be hosting their annual bash, a three-day juggling extravaganza on a hilltop in the UCSC campus grounds.
The event was founded last year, and lasted just a single afternoon. It was, however, so popular that it has been expanded to last three days this year, with a grand finale on the beach. Apart from jugglers making things fly, there will be workshops and even a nature hike, where the theme, of course, will be juggling.
The event is free and open to the public. Unlike 4/20, everyone is encouraged to attend. All you have to do is keep your eye on the balls—unless you juggle blindfolded, like Draco the Juggler does. Read more at the Santa Cruz Sentinel.
