The owner of Bingo! Dog Training talks life, pups, and staying awake while reading.

What do you do for a living?
I own and operate Bingo! Dog Training.

What would you be doing if you weren’t doing that?
I always wanted to work with animals and I feel very fortunate that I am. I also wanted to be a professional singer/song writer but never got too far with that idea so I’m guessing that I’d still be working in sales if I hadn’t pursued dog training.

What do you do in your free time?
Visit friends and family, travel, shop, paint and take my dog for a nice walk or lunch.

What brought you to Santa Cruz?
I moved in with a boyfriend.

What’s your favorite street?
In Santa Cruz it would be West Cliff Drive because the views are so amazing.

Name something you’re excited about.
My youngest sister just got engaged to a wonderful guy. I’m excited for them both and looking forward to the wedding.

Name a pet peeve.
I’m in my forties and the hormones are going a little nuts, so my pet peeves could be just about anything. It all depends on the day, so watch out—ha!

What are you reading?
I don’t read books very often because it makes me sleepy but I’ve been working on Wesley the Owl for a while now. Fun book—just can’t keep my eyes open.

What’s the most important thing you’ve learned in the last three years?
That you can have just about anything your heart desires if you stay focused and move forward with intent, refusing to let fear be your guide.

Recent personal food trend?
Seafood prepared in new ways. Loving Champagne Shrimp and Oven Roasted Crab.
