Sometimes it seems as if the biggest victims of violence in Santa Cruz are the city’s teenagers. On Sunday, a local 18-year-old got into a fight on the beach near West Cliff Drive and Fair Avenue. According to reports, he was attacked by four assailants aged 15-27 who hit him, kicked him and possibly beat him with an unknown object. The young man suffered a head injury and had to be lifted off the beach in a rescue basket.
