Santa Cruz County has seen a spate of car burglaries in recent months. On Monday night, a suspect was arrested near Cabrillo College. What tipped the police off was the maroon Ford pickup identical to the truck a burglar was seen driving when he fled the scene of a car break-in at a Soquel shopping center on Friday. Several items reported stolen were found in his vehicle.
The suspect, William Benjamin Moseley, 31, was jailed, with bail set at $50,000. Police suspect that he is involved in several other robberies and thefts in the area, and have asked possible victims to come forward. Read more at Santa Cruz Sentinel.
