Still suffering from a growing deficit, the city of Santa Cruz will be cutting back on services and modifying its schedules in an effort to save money. Among the services affected are the lobby of the SCPD, which will be closed through January 4. The Louden Nelson Community Center and library will also be closed for most of the holiday, though the library will be open December 27-30.

Watsonville’s City Hall will be closed until January 3, as will the city’s library. During that time, residents will be unable to obtain building permits. Essential services such as garbage collection and the animal shelter will remain open during that time. Read More at Fox 35.
