For three days in September, Santa Cruz County will play host to homeless veterans, providing them with food, clothing, health screenings, and help in finding jobs. The event, which will take place at the Boulder Creek Scout Reservation, repeats a similar event held in the county in 2007. According to organizers, most of the 200 vets participating in the event will have fought in the Vietnam War, though this year special efforts are being made to assist veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan too.
