While the movement to legalize marijuana in California gains momentum, the CHP is continuing to prosecute people for possession of the plant. In the most recent case, police confronted a suspect involved in a hit and run accident near 17th Ave. and Capitola Road. While searching for the driver, Seth Allan Taylor, about a dozen harvested plants with a street value of about $35,000. Taylor later turned himself in, and was charged with possession and transportation of a controlled substance, as well as hit and run. Read more at Fox 35
