At least that’s what he told the police, after they raided his discount cigarette store and confiscated brass knuckles and switchblades. Over 150 items were confiscated, though no arrests were made. Instead, the owners agreed to undergo voluntary inspections. In one store, police confiscated glass pipes, used for meth and crack cocaine. In another store, a police cadet was able to purchase cigarettes even though he is a minor. Police Chief Manny Solano complimented the stores for their voluntary compliance during the raids.
