Officers from the SCPD’s Street Crimes team made a series of heroin-related arrests over the weekend. Heroin and methamphetamine usage has bee deemed an “epidemic” by SCPD Spokesman Zach Friend, who added that the offenders are easy to identify. The successful police raid encompassed a mobile home park, a motel, and the Pogonip open area, known locally as a place with heavy drug trafficking.
