Residents trying to revitalize Ben Lomond Park received some bad news. They had hoped to create a dam and fish ladder so that the once-popular swimming hole could be reopened. Such a review would take two years, and the proposal is due on March 1.
Ben Lomond Park was once a popular site for families. Since the closing of its swimming hole, however, residents have stopped going there, and the site has seen the growth of a thriving drug trade. It is hoped that the park can get some of $184 million available through Proposition 84 to improve public parks. Read more at the Press-Banner.
