Violence in Santa Cruz took a turn yesterday when a group of local Hell’s Angels faced off with bikers from Vagos. The fight took place near Front Street and Soquel Avenue early yesterday afternoon. By the time police arrived, the participants in the brawl had fled.

SCPD Spokesman Zach Friend pointed out that violence involving motorcycle clubs is rare in the city. This was corroborated by Sgt. Ian Patrick, who said, “I can’t think of a serious incident in the last 10 years.” He also pointed out that the local chapter of Hell’s Angels does not qualify as a “gang.” Read more at Santa Cruz Sentinel.
