A transient, Ariel Dehaviland, 37, has been arrested in Santa Cruz for desecrating a Mission Street church being used as an evacuation center for people fleeing the Lockheed fire. According to police, Dehaviland sprawled “666,” pentagrams, and other graffiti on the outside walls of the church building. He stands to be charged with felony vandalism.
