This year’s local recipients are Teresa Netro, a freshman at the Georgiana Bruce Kirby Preparatory School; Alanna Williams, a junior at Santa Cruz High School and Stephanie Barraza, a sophomore at Watsonville High School. The fourth recipient, Kendall Ronzano, lives in Santa Cruz but is a sophomore at the York School in Monterey.
Barraza was especially proud of receiving the award on behalf of her school. “I think we’re changing the outlook that people have of technology here in Watsonville,” she said, noting that two of her friends received the award last year. Read more at Santa Cruz Sentinel.
