Do you have any ideas about how local libraries can improve their services? Teresa Landers wants to hear about them. The new Director of Libraries has even started a blog to get the public’s input on how to improve the library system despite severe funding cuts. She has also invited the public to attend a series of local meeting in an effort to put together a master plan for the next three to five years. Landers says that she and her staff will begin writing their plan in January 2010. Until then she wants to hear what the community has to say. The first meeting is Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 6:30pm at the New Brighton Middle School Performing Arts Center, 250 Washburn Ave., Capitola. The second is Thursday, Oct. 15 at 6:30pm at the Boulder Creek branch, 13390 W. Park Ave, Boulder Creek.
