Where’s the best restaurant to take your dog in Santa Cruz? This is no moot question for a city that has more dogs than children. It’s one that the Woofy Awards hopes to answer. The local Woofers and Walkers web site is asking the public to chime in on the best beaches, restaurants, vets, and parks, as well as various other institutions and people who show a “paws-itive attitude” toward their canine friends. For the first time this year, dog-friendliness will be celebrated officially in Santa Cruz. Now that’s something to bark about.
