Doug Loisel, the beleaguered director of the Homeless Services Center, said that he would resign over allegations that he had molested a minor in 2008 in Los Angeles. Then he went back on his word and said he has no plans to resign. But the die was finally cast for him last night when the Center’s Board voted to fire him.

In a statement to the press, President Linda Finch claimed that the decision was not because of the charges against him. Loisel, who is scheduled to appear in court in Los Angeles on Friday, was unavailable to comment on the decision. He will be replaced by Letitia Schwarz, Director of the Family Shelter and Page Smith Community House, who will serve as acting director.
