The shooting took place at 7pm on Saturday night at the San Lorenzo River Levee, near East Cliff Drive and Jesse Street. The victim, a 24-year-old Gilroy man, was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police are still looking for two suspects, who fled the scene of the crime.

An hour later, two people were stabbed at a house party on Felix Street. The suspect, 20-year-old Jabriel Levi Grisell of Scotts Valley, was later arrested. Police do not believe that the two events were related. Read more at KSBW and the Santa Cruz Sentinel.
