Police were called to a Watsonville home after a shot was heard at 5:30pm Wednesday.

Police were called to a Watsonville home after a shot was heard at 5:30pm Wednesday. After a standoff lasting seven hours, they stormed the home and found Aaron Hull, 36, and his father Stephen Hull, 65, dead.

Aaron Hull’s sister, Donna Orsini, said that her brother was having a fight with her father. Relations between the two men had not been good, especially after the death of Stephen Hull’s wife (Aaron Hull’s mother) two weeks ago. Neighbors notified police of a disturbance, but when they arrived on the scene, two shots were fired at them. Police returned fire with a single shot, and the standoff began. All that time, Hull refused to communicate with the police. At 12:30am, a decision was made to storm the house.

Police are now calling the deaths a murder-suicide. Read more at Fox35.
