Reginald Wilcoxen, 43, of Watsonville, and his son Jeremiah Wilcoxen, 19, of Richmond, were arrested this weekend in connection with the death of pedestrian on Ocean Street Friday night.

Reginald Wilcoxen apparently fled the scene of the crime on foot and was later picked up by his son, who will be charged as an accessory to the crime.
Police say that Reginald Wilcoxen was intoxicated at the time of the accident and that his son Jeremiah was under the influence of a controlled substance and driving without a license. The victim, Luis Ernesto Morales, had been working in the U.S. for nine years and supporting his wife, five children and mother at home in El Salvador.
