Police and firefighters began letting residents of Bonny Doon with proper identification return to their homes on Sunday afternoon, subject to pending evacuation orders should conditions change. Some 2,400 residents of the affected area have been evacuated, and nearby Swanton still remains under an evacuation order. The decision came after the firefighters succeeded in containing about fifty percent of the blaze, which covered an area of 8 square miles. On Friday, Lieutenant Gov.
