The U.S. Geological Survey reports that a 3.9 magnitude earthquake struck an agricultural area about 7 miles outside of Watsonville at 5:51 pm Monday. Most people who reported the tremor experienced either light shaking or a “sharp jolt,” but no damage was reported.
