That’s more or less what happened outside the Wells Fargo bank on River Street on Sunday night, except that as the driver was helping a passenger in, his foot slipped off the brake pedal and hit the gas pedal.

The car lurched forward, straight into the bank. Fortunately, no one was injured, but the driver could have $10,000 in damages withdrawn by the bank.
