This was no peaceful family outing. When police pulled over Jesse Peters, they were following him for suspicion of drunk driving, and nabbed him because the female passenger, Sarah Maria Pippo, wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. When police searched him, they found a loaded .22 in addition to meth. When they searched her, they found another large stash of meth—67 grams—hidden in her panties.

When police pulled over Jesse Peters, they were following him for suspicion of drunk driving, and nabbed him because the female passenger, Sarah Maria Pippo, wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. When police searched him, they found a loaded .22 in addition to meth. When they searched her, they found another large stash of meth—67 grams—hidden in her panties. A second loaded handgun was found in the truck’s console. While all of this was going on, Peters’ 7-year-old son was sitting in the backseat, sobbing hysterically.

Peters, who had previously done jail time for a similar offense, was arrested for possession of meth for sale and for child endangerment. Pippo, who is not the boy’s mother, was arrested for possession. The little boy was taken by Child Protective Services, and a pit bull, who was also in the truck, was taken by animal services.
