Now the beach has new owners, Daw and Jean Tsai, and they want to give the beach to the city … for free! “They feel as though it should be in public hands,” their attorney explains, adding that they are content with just keeping the house.

County Supervisor John Leopold is grateful for the offer, and plans to bring it before the Board of Supervisors as early as next week. In the past, he points out, the county tried to buy the beach. “Now we have a chance to get it for nothing,” he says.
