Ever wonder where to take your dog for breakfast? Consider Aldo’s. It was recently voted the “favorite breakfast restaurant” for man’s (and woman’s) best friend by voters in the Woofy Awards on the Woofers and Walkers website. After breakfast, you may want to take your dog to the museum—after all, even pooches need a little culture—and the Surfer’s Museum is now officially recognized as the county’s most dog-friendly attraction.
On to lunch at Kelly’s Bakery, a trip to Groomingdales or Shampoo Chez for that all-important spa experience, and dinner at the Crepe Place. There is no word yet as to whether they will be adding an Alpo Crepe (Sautéed Alpo, Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto, Gorgonzola, and Fresh Mushrooms) to their menu. Or perhaps you’d like to dine at home. In that case, consider picking up your food at Pet Pals, which got over 50 percent of all votes.
For dogs with more eclectic hobbies, you can consider antiquing at Village Fair Antiques, stopping for a beer at Brady’s Yacht Club or perhaps even a quiet time to read at the library on Woodrow Street. While there was no clear winner on who the favorite vet is, chiropractor Traci Martin did get honorable mention, though it is not quite clear if this was for her work with the dogs or their owners.
