Two people were shot in Soquel on Thursday, and there are conflicting reports about the state of one of the victims. Police report that a man and a women were shot at Soquel and Dover Drive shortly after 11:00 pm. According to initial reports, the shots were fired after a domestic dispute.

the Sentinel reported that the man had stopped breathing while the woman, who was still breathing when police arrived, was transported to Dominican Hospital nearby. Their report, filed shortly after midnight, claims that only one person was dead.
