For the third time in a month, a woman has been groped while walking along the street in downtown Santa Cruz. The most recent incident occurred on Walnut Avenue this past Saturday, shortly after 7pm. While passing a man who was apparently urinating, the woman reported that he reached out and felt her buttocks. She described her assailant as a medium built Latino male in his mid-twenties.

The event follows two similar incidents that occurred in roughly the same area last month. On Sept. 10, a woman was attacked on Laurel Street, and on Sept. 13, another woman was groped near Chestnut and Lincoln. No arrests were made in either case, and police are investigating whether this incident is related to the earlier assaults.
