A driver passing by Santa Cruz Memorial Cemetery on Tuesday lost control of his vehicle while negotiating an S-curve and plowed through the fence, according to news reports. He skidded across the cemetery, leaving tire tracks and a trail of toppled tombstones in his wake (no pun intended). Altogether, some 33 grave markers were knocked down. Police who arrived at the scene found that he was not under the influence of either alcohol or drugs. In fact, they reported that this is the second time that something like this happened of late. Last month, the driver of a pickup truck crashed through the same stretch of fence.
The immediate conclusion is that this stretch of road is especially dangerous because of its S-curve. And yet, just to be on the safe side, it may be worthwhile to call on the Syfy channel’s Ghost Hunters to investigate the cemetery for paranormal activity. Read more at ABC 7.
