It is the most serious of several new charges being brought against him as a result of the escape. Other charges include battery with serious injury, resisting officers, assault with a stun gun, burglary and armed robbery.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, Ainsworth fired a gun at a hospital employee who attempted to assist Deputy Cathy Bramani after he had stunned her in the head with her taser. The incident sparked a massive manhunt that ended with Ainsworth’s apprehension five hours later. He is already serving time for burglary and assault. Read more at KSBW.
