It’s one for the record books, and proof that for a talented surfer, even the impossible is possible.

It is also worth $10,000, because clothing manufacturer Volcom Stone promised that worthy sum to anyone who actually did the stunt and captured it on film. But Volcom Stone is not that eager to write out a check just yet. According to the rules that they set out, “The kickflip must be a real air ‘above the lip.’” Torkos’s kick flip was actually below the lip. Still, they agreed to give him $1,000 as a consolation prize (or as a response to negative publicity). And Zoltan Torkos can always try again.
