It remains to be seen what will happen to all the roosters, but the local SPCA Director Beth Brookhouser believes that they will be euthanized. The problem, she explains, is that birds bred especially for fighting are dangerous to other animals and therefore difficult to place. At present 38 of the roosters are being held by the SPCA of Monterey County, and another five have already been put down. The remaining roosters are being held temporarily at the residence until a final verdict about their fate can be made. Read more at ABC 7.
