West African Dance Class with Mouminatou Camara

Beautiful dances of Guinea, West Africa, taught by visiting artist Mouminatou Camara. Originally of Conakry, Guinea, Mouminatou founded the Seewe African Dance Company and was the principal dancer for the world-renowned dance company, Les Ballet Africans. She also performed with Les Ballet Djonllba and the Army Ballet. Mouminatou lives, performs, and teaches in New York City. She is in Santa Cruz for one weekend only, teaching two classes at the Tannery. Live drumming. Mixed level class - all levels of dancers are welcome!
