The Last Coastal Sand Mine

Join us at Patagonia Santa Cruz for a short documentary film screening on the illegal CEMEX Lapis Lustre Sand Mining operation and its environmental and economic impact along the Monterey Bay – specifically on how the mine is severely exacerbating erosion rates.

After the screening, there’ll be Q&A time with the experts in the documentary. The night will conclude with a very special letter writing and social media campaign, launching our next community push to permanently close the illegal sand mine.
