The Art of Beer

Influenced by pop art and inspired by the artistic renaissance of the craft beer scene, Zephyr Pfotenhauer has created a playful show of beer centric pieces. Using the process of hand-drawn digital art that she then silkscreens at home, each work has a stamp of uniqueness. There will be prints, paintings, tees, and totes (and maybe some other beer swag) on display and available for purchase.

Pfotenhauer, a Santa Cruz native, spent ten years studying and creating art in London and Chicago. She is now a freelance illustrator who over the past five years has been immersed in the art of beer as a graphic artist and designer for Discretion Brewing.

This First Friday party will also include a bottle release from Shanty Shack--Olalliepop, a barrel aged sour with Olallieberries--with label design by Pfotenhauer. Artist (and cousin) Elijah Pfotenhauer will be spinning beats. And Pat’s Pit BBQ will be parked in the beer garden serving up meat & fresh eats.
