Taimane Ukulele Virtuoso

Pulse Productions welcomes international ukulele virtuoso, Taimane, to Santa Cruz for her debut show at Rio Theatre on Friday, May 18th. We are as excited about this show as any on our 2018 calendar! Famed for her dexterous touch, unique sound and passionate performances, Taimane brings her Spring Eternal Tour to Santa Cruz riding a giant wave of momentum. In 2017, Taimane launched herself into the national psyche selling out shows from coast to coast and performing to crowds of over 10,000 alongside Michael Franti and Spearhead at venerable venues the Gorge Amphitheater and Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Earlier this year, Taimane made her debut at the famed Staples Center in Los Angeles electrifying an audience of over 20,000 people. A few days later, the Playing For Change organization (dedicated to bringing hope & inspiration through music with over 1.5 million followers worldwide) released a Taimane video, "Pluto – King of the Underworld (Hades)", that garnered over 100,000 views within a week.
