Symposium: ultraSHIFT: UCSC's Digital Arts and New Media MFA

UC Santa Cruz is pleased to announce ultraSHIFT: UCSC’s Digital Arts and New Media MFA Symposium. The associated exhibition is on view from April 27 – April 30, 2017 at UC Santa Cruz Digital Arts Research Center. Seven artists are creating and iterating within realms not easily decipherable and detected in the conventional art world. Each artist has worked in the critical spaces of game design, musical soundscapes, performative sculpture, or interactive media to resist and expand long-established, canonical meanings of art.
