About Sketching in the Garden workshop

Cultivate your observational skills and artistic talent at the “Sketching in the Garden” workshop on Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 9:30am to 11:30am in the inspiring Alan Chadwick Garden at UC Santa Cruz.

Workshop instructor Tina Fuller Somers brings 12 years of experience as a science illustrator and graphic artist. She will begin the workshop with a demonstration of various techniques and processes that create a successful composition. The class will then move to the garden to sketch with guidance and direction from Tina. All levels of experience are welcome.

Cost of the workshop is $30 for the general public (pre-registered) or $40 at the door, and $20 for members of the Friends of the UCSC Farm and Garden and Monterey Bay Master Gardeners (pre-registered) or $30 at the door. Limited income participants pay $15 (pre-registered) or $20 at the door. $5 for UCSC students. Pre-register by Friday, August 23 at 2:30 pm at: gardenart.bpt.me or pay at the door (cash or check only). This workshop takes place rain or shine.
