About Simple Life Instructions: DADA at Radius

Simple Life Instructions: DADA at the Radius is offered in the spirit of DADA, the art movement born in Zurich a century ago in the middle of the First World War, responding to the dissolution of civilization with iconoclastic absurdity. Any possible similarity between 1916 and 2016 is purely codependent. Simple Life Instructions: DADA at the Radius features the work by nine Bay area artists using new and old technology with dada sensibilities. The exhibition is curated by Maureen Davidson and funded in part by Arts Council Santa Cruz County.

Simple Life Instructions is on exhibition October 1 – November 13, 2016. Radius Gallery will host a Curator’s Talk on Sunday, October 16 at 2:00pm. Born a century ago, DADA has been waiting…for the Apex of Absurdity. It is time. Simple Life is part of Dada at the Beach, an October-long collaboration between Radius Gallery, R. Blitzer Gallery and Felix Kulpa Gallery, each with dada shows, all with events throughout the month.

Radius Gallery is located at the Tannery Arts Center with gallery hours Wednesday- Sunday. For more information visit radius.gallery or visit the Radius facebook page.
