About Shifting Lands: three case studies of communities and their ability to adapt

Shifting Lands encompasses a collection of photographs featuring people living in displacement by three local female photojournalists - Mara Milam, Katie Sugarman, and Kelsey Doyle. Each photojournalist has selected a handful of their work from three unique communities: the Mapuche, the Maasai, and the Ulithians. Individually, their photographs tell stories of a single community; together they highlight the global commonality of displacement and the unwavering will to adapt. Milam, Sugarman, and Doyle unite over their love for travel and desire to enlighten our understanding of shifting lands around the world.
