Santa Crux Expat Returns with Two Bands – An American Roots Music Exhibition Past & Present

About Santa Crux Expat Returns with Two Bands – An American Roots Music Exhibition Past & Present

Snake Oil Salesmen will close out the evening with a solid mix of jazz, country, and good old rock n' roll that walks a perfect line between familiar and unique. Those in attendance can expect material reminiscent of everything from Old Crow Medicine Show and Devil Makes Three to Waylon Jennings, David Bowie, and The Black Keys.

Big Bad Rooster offers heartfelt harmonies over high energy arrangements steeped in traditional American folk and bluegrass.

Tristan Cole-Falek : After a decade of developing his rock and American roots repertoire with the likes of Phil Alvin (Blasters), and Xene Cervenka (X), Santa Cruz expat and upright bass player Tristan Cole-Falek is returning home with two brand new records and a double feature of well crafted Americana. Led by the prodigious vocal talent and gifted lyricism of front men Michael Solan (Big Bad Rooster), and Clay Coughlin (Snake Oil Salesmen); accompanied by dynamic percussionist Nick Colliflower; and joined by the virtuosic brothers Camillo and Gaspar Barahona on banjo and fiddle, both groups deliver a diverse set comprised of infectious original compositions and creatively re-envisioned classics.
