About Patrick Maguire
Moe's Alley proudly presents PATRICK MAGUIRE a night of soulful folk, americana & roots music.
Patrick Maguire was born to sing & play music. As a child, he grew up surrounded by all types of musical influences.
From Bluegrass (Tony Rice, Ricky Scaggs & Doc Watson) to Folk (Kate Wolf, Bob Dylan, Donovan, and The Mama's & The Papa's) to Classic Rock (THE WHO) to Oldies (Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Ritchie Valens, The Everly Brothers, and Dion & The Belmonts)
Patrick's family, from his Parents, to Brothers, Cousins, and Aunts & Uncles all sing or play music. And while Patrick was growing up, the family would jam for days on-end with sometimes as many as 20+ musicians at a time. It was during these family jams that Patrick felt his calling, it pulled at him through most of his teenage life, and while attending High School & College, he dreamed of singing & playing guitar to people all around the world. In his mind, that was His Dream, but as he grew older his time was spent less on music & more on the 9-5 daily grind.
He wondered if it would all be nothing more than a dream...
It wasn't until December of 2011 that Patrick decided to chase His Dream. He packed what he could fit into his small hatchback & traveled from Maine to California, stopping in various States/Cities to play Open-Mics, he would often play multiple venues in a single night & sleep (uncomfortably) in his cramped car.
In February of 2012, Patrick made it to Santa Cruz, CA & immediately bonded with the musicians he met there. They played music wherever they could & at all-hours of the day or night, each with their own unique musical style & genre, they began showcasing their musical talents at the various venues throughout Santa Cruz.
In March of 2015, Patrick met the love of his life, Vanessa. They fell head-over-heels in love for each-other & by October of that same year they found out they would be welcoming a beautiful baby daughter in the Spring of 2016! Grateful for everything in his life, Patrick began writing new Original Songs that reflect his love & the abundance of joy he has found.
In the Summer of 2017, Patrick will be releasing a 5 Track EP filled with new Original Songs, with a Full Length Album to follow in Late December of 2017.
"Patrick's distinctive soulful inflection compliments an almost effortless, soft tenor voice."
"With a deeply rooted passion for writing, singing & playing music, Patrick's Folk-Americana Style songs reflect a vulnerability in his words as he tells the story of his journey & life experiences."
