About Patrick Maguire
Folk-Americana: "Patrick's distinctive soulful inflection compliments an almost effortless, soft tenor voice."
Patrick Maguire plays in a folk and Americana style and has one of those rare super distinctive voices. He was born to sing & play music. As a child, he grew up surrounded by all types of musical influences. From Bluegrass (Tony Rice, Ricky Scaggs & Doc Watson) to Folk (Kate Wolf, Bob Dylan, Donovan, and The Mama's & The Papa's) to Classic Rock (THE WHO) to Oldies (Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Ritchie Valens, The Everly Brothers, and Dion & The Belmonts) Patrick's family, from his Parents, to Brothers, Cousins, and Aunts & Uncles all sing or play music. And while Patrick was growing up, the family would jam for days on-end with sometimes as many as 20+ musicians at a time. In 2011 Patrick packed what he could fit into his small hatchback & traveled from Maine to California, stopping in various States/Cities to play Open-Mics, he would often play multiple venues in a single night & sleep (uncomfortably) in his cramped car. You can hear him on KPIG radio's popular Please Stand By show on Sunday morning March 26 at 10:30am.
