Dr. Geeta Mehta will relate the power of Gandhian nonviolence in turbulent times in India to the current moment in the U.S. She will share creative and successful uses of nonviolence in India and touch on her personal experience trekking with Vinoba Bhave, the spiritual heir of Mohandas Gandhi, during the India land-gift movement.

Dr. Mehta is the former head of the Dept. of Philosophy, M.D. College and Director of Somaiya Jain Studies in Mumbai, India.
