About NIGHT OF THE LIVING COMPOSERS - Musical Creations from nearby and in our midst!

New Music Works opens its 38th season with its seventh installment of "Night of the Living Composers," a concert that celebrates five composers living in the Bay Area.

Guest vocalist, soprano Sheila Willey, singing Michael McGushin's "Malagasy Songs."

World premieres of two string quartets by Maayan Tsadka and Scott Stobbe.

Maayan Tsadka - UCSC graduate and newly appointed faculty member at University of Haifa - was commissioned by NMW to compose a new string quartet with double bass piece. She is attending, coming all the way from Israel.

Our FREE to-the-public Composer Panel at 6pm will be especially lively, with all five composers on hand, moderated by NMW Artistic Director, Philip Collins.
